I Am UTA Study Abroad: Students Talk Disability & Health Issues Abroad Panel Event

Next Wednesday, October 19th from 12:00pm-1:00pm in Rio Grande (upper level UC) the UT Arlington Disability Studies Minor, the Office for Students with Disabilities, and the Office of International Education will be co-sponsoring the “I Am UTA Study Abroad: Students Talk Disability and Health Issues Abroad” panel to continue our I Am UTA Study Abroad panel series. This interactive panel discussion will focus on how the panelists (including Lady Movin’ Mav and Paralympic Gold Medalist Rose Hollermann) studied abroad while handling their respective health concerns or disabilities, as well as how they were perceived and accommodated on their programs. This event is a great opportunity to connect with Mavericks who have studied and traveled abroad, ask questions about the application process, and hear what it’s actually like to live and study in another country.

This event is free and open to the public.  Snacks will be provided to attendees.

If you require a disability-related accommodation to participate fully in this event, please contact UTA Study Abroad at studyabroad@uta.edu or 817-272-1120. Captioning via CART will be provided.
